Andrew is a classically trained pianist. He’s also trained for years on the guitar and saxophone. In recent years, he’s expanded his studies in the ukulele, and percussive arts, following the lead of his Tap dance mentors and heroes. He has written and composed many songs for film/tv, musical theatre, as well as his own album with his band Three Fold Unity.

As a singer, he was influenced early on by Michael Jackson. When he decided to pursue performance art as his life and career, he began training with Elaine Overholt. She helped him gain the confidence and skill he needed to break into the industry. He then began training with Louisa Burgess-Corbett, Jeannie Wyse, and Shannon Coates to further his technical abilities in other styles beyond pop and gospel, such as theatre and classical.

Out There - The Hunchback of Notre Dame

We closed our run of ONCE the Musical on August 19th, 2018, in St John's, Newfoundland. Between our 2 shows, I found a little bit of time to put this video together. I didn't have playback monitors... I used a little bluetooth speaker and couldn't hear. I did my best.
Andrew covers SAY IT TO ME NOW from ONCE the Musical/Movie.
An original song I've written, for an original show I'm writing. The song is called "For Me", about wanting something that isn't for you.

An original song I wrote with my band Three Fold Unity entitled MISS YOU (available on iTunes). It was influenced by the film UP by Disney Pixar.

A little cover of ON THE SUNNY SIDE OF THE STREET, using soft shoe, tap dance, body percussion, and vocals. Enjoy!
Andrew Prashad covers the song "Glory Box" by Portishead. This is my re-imagining of the song. I've changed the lyrics a bit so it fit me. The love story is still there but it loses some of the feminist message unfortunately. I hope you enjoy and that I don't offend fans (or the creators) of the song.
